Wayne Smith is the founder of Tier 1 Pro and a retired Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge with 36 years in law enforcement.
Over the course of his career, Wayne worked in undercover drug enforcement, intelligence, and led statewide units including SWAT, Bomb Squad, and criminal intelligence. Much of that time was spent working in plain clothes, where staying undetected was part of the job.
He started building holsters around 2009 because what he needed did not exist. Most holsters on the market were built for the “average” person in “average” conditions. In reality, everyday carry depends on the person, the environment, and how you move through your day.
What started as building for himself quickly turned into building for others.
Today, Wayne has built over 4,000 holsters by hand, each one shaped by real-world experience and continuous refinement.
In addition to Tier 1 Pro, Wayne provides investigative and consulting services backed by decades of experience in law enforcement, intelligence, and public safety.
